A Return to the Village

Back to square one. Another not it.

We tried all the options. And I mean ALL the options.

I'd studied them all for years. Both personally and for academic research.

Waldorf, montessori, global private schools.

There was beauty to them sure, but something inside of me still felt like this isn't the way it's supposed to be.

Sending my kids to a school, while wonderful in intent, yet it still took hours from our time we could be making memories. These precious moments.

Yet, everyday alone with them was just, well, ughhh. Sweatpants for days and when did we last brush our hair? Perfectly printed bundles making beautiful instagram posts yet why did it feel like I was still forcing a way and the kids were still itching to be done to go do something more meaningful to them?

We've done it all. Homeschooling, unschooling, worldschooling.

I've scoured the homeschool groups on facebook looking for a place we fit it.

I've visited homeschool collectvies and rather than feeling inspired instead I felt like I'd just left a mom's coffee group. Disjointed. Lacking in shared values and ways. Where were the kids passionate? Engrossed in something they could get obsessed over?

I've pitched to my friends countless times "let's buy land and raise chickens and homestead alongside one another".

We've even traveled through Costa Rica for a year, learning about eco communities, touring and trialing private schools and seeking aligned families along the way.

It led to more not it's and instead led to piercing clarity.

It's time to create a new way.

Families homeschooling together. Responsive to the actual children present. Honouring them as their own unique soul. Not ours to direct rather ours to support and offer enrichment, experience, support. Let us let them unfold. The children are passionate, alive, proud, confident. Seen in their brilliance. Celebrated in the fullest expression.

We weave the gifts of the adults present to create monthly schedules that inspire and uplift. Children learning through expert mentorship, meaningful hands on real life projects, personal and collaborative projects. Testing, experimenting, creating, free to fail again and again. Building resilience, birthing new worlds, allowing their imaginations the space to expand.

Parents sharing from their natural gifts, and letting others mentor and support. A shared load that allows for deepened bonds and moments spent relishing in the smile on your child's face as they beam with pride. Time spent giving and time given to you so you can breathe, be, create from your heart.

Let us look towards what we feel is most true. We weren't meant to do this alone. Community is the way. But let us learn it one step at a time. Let us offer world class education. Global educational philosophies not reserved for academics instead part of the culture. It gets to be simple.

Nervous system informed and conscious parenting part of the day to day. We weren't taught these things so let us devote to being safer steadier foundations. Shared agreements, clear boundaries and scaffolded support as children's voices are honoured heart. Deepening self trust and self advocacy.

Let us trust and rest in the knowing that our children are safe, held within a village of shared values and ways. Let us have time for our own passions and purpose, our energy returning and depletion being a thing of the past. In our highest expressions so our kids can be too.

Learning not outsourced and choosing to honour the knowing that systems of old aren't it shouldn't mean survival, depletion, scraping pennies to make things work. There's a way to do this that gives rather than takes. Energy out means abundance in. Claiming this divine birthright and having fun along the way. This model allowing for financial sovereignty and family incomes growing not shrinking.

Reconnecting with the rhythms of nature. Slowing down. Breathing more.

Six a beautiful number to begin to relearn these ways of interdependence, clear communication, shared loads and the energy it will take settle into this new. Mirrors all around, it may take some time. Self responsibility, clear communication, clear roles and boundaries essential. Open hearts and grace not optional but required.

We will help you with this too. Frameworks and pathways for it all. Leaving little room for floundering and instead allowing you to build your foundation and boom off you go!
